Alison Cromie founded Burnsville Pride in the fall of 2024 when the city of Burnsville cut the annual pride festival from their budget. Although she is not a stranger to the world of nonprofits, this is the first one she has built from the ground up, thanks to an amazing team of volunteers.

Alison spends her days driving marketing technology solutions for a local mental health franchise and in the evenings she keeps herself busy with two teenagers, two dogs, a ball python, a side hustle as a foraging educator, and lots of DIY projects.

A bit of a late-bloomer, Alison didn’t come out until 2019 and has since immersed herself in the LGBT+ community, seeking to further understand herself and others on a journey of becoming her most authentic self.
