About
Burnsville Pride started as a city-planned event in 2022. In the fall of 2024, due to a change in budget priorities, the festival was dropped from the 2025 budget. It was at this time that Alison Cromie, our current Board President, reached out to the city to see if there was an opportunity for the community to pick up the event and keep it running. The organization was born in November 2024, and 501(c)3 status was achieved in February 2025. The 2025 festival will be our first community-led event and will be expanded to include vendors, more food trucks, entertainment, and more activities than ever.
Our Mission
Burnsville Pride is dedicated to fostering connection, celebration, and empowerment within the LGBTQ+ community. Through our annual pride celebration and year-round initiatives, we create inclusive spaces for individuals to come together, celebrate their identities, and access vital resources. Our mission is to champion love, acceptance, and equality, building a stronger, more united Burnsville for everyone.
